Independent Review Board*

Findings & conclusions.

*The board was not independent. It was John sitting at a laptop realizing Heidi had a point.

Finding A

Heidi took initiative.

Building and launching the site wasn't busywork. It was a real attempt to improve and streamline website creation and management.

Finding B

The explanation deserved a better read.

Even though the email touched a scope John doesn't usually manage, that made understanding it more—not less—important.

Finding C

Intent and impact are allowed to disagree.

John did not intend to communicate disrespect. Heidi still had a fair reason to feel like the work wasn't being taken seriously.

Finding D

Vibe coding is annoyingly convincing.

After further review, management concedes that turning an idea into a functioning site this quickly is, in fact, pretty damn useful.

Final Determination

Heidi was right about the part that mattered.

The takeaway is not “John is terrible.” The takeaway is simpler: when somebody you respect puts serious work into something, pay serious attention to it.
